EN: Eindhoven Ballroom Functions

Eindhoven Ballroom Functions (EBF) is a practice ball (competition) organized by Lenka Bachorikova, Shahin Damka, and Mert Teddy. This is a space where the ballroom community comes together to practice but also to celebrate queerness, diversity and freedom. EBF brings to life the culture that you could see in some famous series such as Pose, Legendary or in the documentary Paris is Burning.

The dance style Voguing comes from the ballroom culture, which was created by queer people of colour in New York in the 70s/80s. It was inspired by the models in the magazine Vogue, where also the name comes from.

The entrance is free for everyone, but keep in mind that this is and is supposed to remain a safe space for everyone!
